  • The drawing set typically has shared sheets (foundation, drainage, services, common envelope details) and unit-specific sheets — a drawing-revision mismatch on a shared sheet propagates to every unit

  • The producer-statement chain is sometimes per-unit and sometimes per-block — and the contract may not name which

  • The §17 retention release is typically block-wide or stage-wide, not per-unit — meaning one outstanding defect on one unit can hold the retention for the whole stage

  • The fixed-price head contract puts the head contractor on §14 risk for any scope gap that opens up — but the §14 negotiation across 12 units is a fundamentally different conversation from the same gap on one unit

H1/AS1 5th edition (2022 onwards) raised the residential thermal envelope demand substantially — wall R-values, slab-edge thermal breaks, glazing U-values, airseal continuity.
